REPEAL EXEMPTION TO CHILD RESTRAINT LAW

Bill ID:
SB 227
Branch:
Senate
Year:
2011

I am the Senate sponsor of this bill; Representatives Vaad and Ryden are the House sponsors.  The bill repeals an exemption to state law on child restraint systems in motor vehicles that had been passed last year.  The law now requires all children under the age of 8 riding in the back seat of motor vehicles to be in a child restraint system, even if the vehicle was not manufactured with seat belts.
