DEFINE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHILD CUSTODY

Sen. Newell and I are the Senate co-sponsors of this House bill by Rep. Ryden. The bill defines “domestic violence” when determining the best interest of a child in child custody cases and substitutes this term for the out-of-date term of "spousal abuse" that was in the statutes.  The bill was signed into law on April 14, 2010.
